When the driving lights are on the tail lamps light one of the two filaments. If none of the brake lights are working, we are going to follow the circuit from the fuse box back to the brake pedal. If that checks out, my guess would be the brake light switch at the pedal, if that's where they put it, on.

18 people found this helpful. It can also be caused by a blown fuse, bad brake light switch , or issues with the wirings. The light is out because water go into the transistor power pack and just stopped working and the other problem with the remaining 2brake/tail lights was that they worked as tail lights but no brake lights and after some advice here from members i got them working (thanks to all that helped).

Please note that tail lights can work even if the brake lights are burned out. Bulbs and fuses check out ok, what else could be the problem? If they do, problem on con troll side of relay.
